VWR® Laboratory Water Stills provide a reliable and cost-effective method for continuous production of distilled water suitable for general laboratory use (ASTM Type 2 / ISO 3696 Grade 2–3). Available in single-distillation (borosilicate glass or stainless steel) and double-distillation configurations for higher purity applications. Key features include: automatic water feed control, float valve to maintain constant feed water level, automatic low-water and overheat cut-off safety systems, and corrosion-resistant construction. Borosilicate glass-lined stills eliminate metal ion contamination. Output rates from 1 L/hour to 10 L/hour. Distilled water produced is suitable for reagent preparation, buffer making, glassware rinsing, autoclave feed, and microbiological media preparation. More economical than bottled distilled water for high-volume laboratory requirements.
