Parafilm M® Laboratory Film, distributed by VWR, is the world-standard self-sealing thermoplastic paraffin film used throughout the laboratory for sealing and covering flasks, beakers, Petri dishes, tubes, and other vessels. Parafilm M® can be stretched to twice its original size and moulds easily around irregular surfaces to create a reliable, leak-proof seal. It is semi-transparent, inert to most aqueous solutions, moisture-resistant, and provides an excellent barrier against dust, evaporation, and contamination. Temperature resistant from -40°C to +125°C. Compatible with most common laboratory chemicals and biological media. Available in a roll format (38 mm or 100 mm wide x 75 m or 200 m long). Autoclavable at 121°C.
